About Groholski Sausage LLC
Throughout the 1930s and 40’s Lee Groholski operated one of several grocery stores in Bremond. In 1952 he opened a new building on the corner of Main St. and Denton Street (the current storefront for Groholski Sausage, LLC). Store ownership was passed on to Children Elzie Groholski, Stella (Groholski) Yanowski, and Richard Bielamwicz. Store operations continued over the years as Stella exited the business in the late 1970s and Richard retired in the early 1990s.
Until 2006, Elzie and Helen Groholski owned and operated the grocery store. Helen operated the business for two more years, ultimately deciding that it was time to close the store. With an increasing demand for Groholski’s homemade sausage, Helen decided to continue production for holidays and special events. Over the next several years additional items such as fresh beef and pork selections and other homemade products were made available to customers. The business was restructured with Elzie and Helen’s sons Kenneth, Dennis, and Ronald, and Groholski Sausage, LLC began to offer custom game processing to go along with retail operations. Plant improvements are now underway on the retail space with more improvements coming to provide a USDA-inspected meat processing facility in the near future.
